Welcome. Please accept this as your invitation to attend Tides of Change in the Fall of 2014. While the three New Brunswick. Moncton and New Brunswick is officially bilingual and this in addition to its bold forests and broad deep blue seas has made it a special place for many over the provinces in the hope that you may want to build in a little touring time to explore one or more of each of the host provinces. The distances involved are within those that many from other parts of Canada would consider a day trip.
The conference venue, the Palais Crystal Palace is designed for families and as a retreat in the center of Moncton. Links have been provided to start you off on an exploration of the Maritime region should you wish to make this a true holiday experience.
The Canadian National Child and Youth Care Conferences have taken place on a bi-annual schedule since 1986. Over that time, most provincial members have hosted the conference once and often twice or more. The National has become the conference in which to share the best professional development topics presenters have to offer from both the practise and academic perspectives are introduced. For many, they have also become the bi-annual opportunity to enjoy something frequent national keynote speaker, Thom Garfat has termed a child and youth care tribal experience. Friends are found again, friendships formed and the national networking that allows best practices to be advanced progresses. Whether this is your first or fifteenth conference, it is your opportunity to begin or repeat this major professional development experience that can only enhance your professional practice.
