What are we doing to do tomorrow? I will start that tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow is often the
busiest day of the week. There is always tomorrow. I’ll let you know tomorrow. Can that wait until tomorrow?
Everyday we hear something about tomorrow. As human beings, we plan for tomorrows. We plan for our
financial futures, retirement, social events, and holidays. As Youth Care Practitioners, we get excited when
our Clients begin to plan for their own tomorrows. Tomorrow is something that is new, fresh, and
undiscovered, but based on the traditions and structure of yesterdays. Most of us are excited by the
possibilities of tomorrows. But tomorrows can be a challenge when they are unknown and unplanned.
The Child and Youth Care Association of Manitoba invites you to join us and other Child and Youth Care
Practitioners from across the province to talk about our profession’s tomorrow. Where are we going as
Manitoban Youth Care Practitioners? What challenges do we face? What skills have we learned that will
move us forward? Are we headed in the direction we would like to go on a personal, program, agency, and
provincial level? Come and join other Youth Care Practitioner to talk about the work we do and how we do it
in our province.
We look forward to you taking part in helping to define the profession's tomorrows as well as your own.
Thank you to our sponsors.

And a huge thank you to the 155 or so registrants for this first provincial conference. The feedback has been excellent with
attendees leaving workshops energized, moved and enlightened. CYCWAM is committed to making this a bi-annual event
running in non-national conference years with 2013 being the next. Manitoba has a vibrant, innovative and responsive social
care network for children and youth and the provincial conference format is an excellent way to celebrate and define it even
further.
